Another Contest Entry for Granado Espada, but this time it’s to welcome the new Orpesia Update with new RNPCs like Barrel, Sharon and Marchetti, who is the one I decided to draw.

Thinking that I had more time this time round, I thought I should try a new way of drawing hair. However experimenting was quite time consuming so I didn’t have much time to be creative with the other characters as I had wished. With limited time, I’ve used some awesome free textures from this website, www.startextures.com, and specifically here on their flickr, for the background. I also tried to merge the figure with the blue background speedily before 3am. After 6 or so versions I was only happy with this version. D:  

EDIT: Marchetti was also drawn from referencing the images on the KGE play-forum stance info for Marchetti. Also, I didn’t entirely draw the Cube. I manipulated one side of a cube from an image from play-forum to create the shape I wanted (hence the circles being inconsistent), then I used some filtered layers and drew on top to make it how I wanted it. : )

After staring at this baby faced version for a week… I kind of want this one in my barracks instead haha. xD

This is the progress for drawing Ion Felipe, a character from an online MMORPG called Granado Espada. It’s for a loading screen contest held by SEA GE’s “TeamGE”. I found it difficult to make a good background in time, with around 5 days to complete the contest, and I actually like this white background a whole lot better (since I need to practise backgrounds).

To see the finished version, it is here, at the bottom of page 7, or check screenshot of my Photoshop file. One of the PS screenies has a Lionel/Leonele with Ion but I soon gave up drawing another character because of the time limit coupled with my slow drawing style.

Woaaah you still play this game?? I remember you talking about it years ago!

As always, so super pretty.. I love the soft blending and thin lines! I can never manage to do either of those fufufu… also the shininess of the wing~

Aww Thank you!! Yes, I couldn’t help but show you those pretty costumes earlier! And yes, I’m still hooked to this game because I can dress up all the gorgeous bishounen….D: This is what has come of my life haha OTL

I’m quite glad at how I managed to paint this since I rarely finish anything to my liking, plus I’ve gotten your approval too. I couldn’t be any more happier and motivated to improve myself! *backflips  (/^o^)/ You’ve given me a lot of encouragement, thank you. ^^
